What kind of Knife Block Set is good?
I'm thinking of getting my boyfriend a knife set for christmas. He loves to cook but I know his knives are low quality. I don't want to spend more than $250. Any good brands or know how I can tell if they're quality knives? Can I get quality knives for $250?
I have actually found some Very Good Knife Sets at target for 50-60 bucks (I give them as wedding gifts because no one ever has a good set of knives when they are young)
As long as the metal runs the full lengh of the knife (as oppossed to stopping at the handle) you have a good knife.
At target, look for Hampton Forge, J.A. henckels, or chefmate.
