What is the best way to clean a high-carbon Steel Knife blade?
I have a small, high-carbon Knife Blade that, having taken it out of the scabbard, I've noticed has some dark tarnishes along the blade and I'm wondering what would be the best means to clean it up.
wash in warm soapy water, rinse in hot. Dry well. You might need to use steel wool soap pad to remove the tarnish. Coat it with veggie oil and wipe dry.
never put good knives in dishwasher.
